Underground Swing Gate Opener Kits

Designed to be concealed underground, below the gate hinge, these openers are popular on decorative wrought iron gates, being virtually invisible. Unlike other underground motors on the market, the BFT hydraulic operator has a built in hydraulic pump eliminating unsightly pump units mounted above ground. the other sub kits are electromechanical and are virtually invisible to see.

These motors are fitted below ground level with the operator drive shaft aligned with the axis of the gate hinge. In order to attain this alignment the hinge centre must be clear of the face of the gate post.

The operator will support an 800 kg load and it is recommended that it replaces the lower hinge of the gate (i.e. not installed below a pair of existing hinges) The operator runs on a timed sequence set at the system control panel or you can use loop detectors to sense when the car have passed throught. Gate stops are required in some cases. Requiered would be the open and closed position of the gate to stop the gate before the operator reaches the end of its travel.

The BFT SUB name covers a range of hydraulic underground operators designed for different gate sizes and opening angles i.e. 110 s-steel sub = the foundation box is steel and the operator will go to 110° . Easy to fit:
All motors are supplied with a heavy, load bearing steel foundation box. Gates can be pre-hung on these boxes and the motors retro-fitted (Also useful for servicing). The foundation box is load bearing, will support an 800kg load and replaces the lower hinge.
