203308 2-Channel Loop Detector

Loop Detectors are an additional product to all swing and sliding gate systems. Laying one and a half mm of silicon based insulated cable in a figure of 8 at any distance away from the gate. The loop detector picks up the magnetic field of a vehicle which sends a command to the gates so they will open before the vehicle arrives atthe gate. The most common is a 1 channel loop for the gates to open on exit, 2 channel loops offer the ability to open on both entry and exit.

CONNECTION FOR CONTACT LOOP (OPTIONAL)
A contact loop evaluation unit (203292 1-channel, 203308 2-channel) can be connected to the control board. A 2-channel evaluation unit can be used to evaluate 2 channels separately or in combination.

Connection the Loop Detector to terminals 19+20

Setting on board must be:
Dip switch setting must be in Car Park mode ( Dip 1 on, Dip 2 & 3 off),
or in standard mode (Dip 1 & 2 on, Dip 3 off).
Chamberlain Failsafe Photocells must be set (Dip 5 on). Min. 1 pair of photocells must be fitted.
Timer to close can be on or off.

How does it work?

When opening the gate:
Interrupt the loop while gate is opening the gate stop's.
To restart the gate you have to send a new command which will then close the gate.

When closing the gate:
Interrupt the loop while gate is closing the gate stop's.
To restart the gate you have to send a new command which will then open the gate.
If the loop is interrupted with the gate fully open or fully close then the gate will not run.
As soon as the loop is cleared then the gate works as normal.
