Information 1

Completely hands-free, stand-alone access control system. No cards to swipe, buttons to press, or gizmos to carry. All you need is a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone!

Blue Guard recognizes Bluetooth enabled cell phones when they move into range, verifies the phone’s unique ID and activates its output to the access control system. Up to 10 mobile phones may be bonded with the BlueGuard for hands-free access.

Blue Guard’s user interface features a secure, magnetically activated switch to place the unit in set-up mode. During set-up BlueGuard reads Bluetooth devices that are within range and allows the user to select bonding with BlueGuard using the cell phone’s keypad by entering your unique PIN. The PIN prevents unauthorized users from accessing the control functions of the unit.

BlueGuard may be mounted on a gooseneck, on the gate operator or any location in the proximity to the entry point and easily wired to provide activation.

FEATURES

  • Up to 33 foot hands free detection range Stores up to 10 cell phone IDs in non-volatile memory
  • Relay outputs pulse or presence on normally open and normally closed contact connection
  • Arming input inhibits activation unless vehicle is present (when used with loop detector)
  • Water-tight enclosure
  • PIN protected programming

Application: Open gates, overhead doors and parking barriers with your Bluetooth enabled cell phone. It provides similar functions to RFID systems with three major advantages:

1. BlueGuard range is up to 33 feet compared to RFID range of 4 inches. There is no need to open the car window when activating the BlueGuard reader, potentially getting wet or compromising your security

2. BlueGuard connected to overhead door control station prevents unauthorized openings of doors

3. BlueGuard is activated by your cell phone so you don’t need RFID cards. In addition to the convenience of not having to deal with an additional item, there is a cost saving; no need for RFID cards

4. BlueGuard is used in a hands free fashion; simply by carrying your phone you use the access control system. No need to look for an access card or wave it next to the RFID reader
